On BalanceJul 29, 2021
The most effective leaders are well-rounded.
They can tap into a wide variety of frameworks and inspirations.
Much of this begins with one simple convention:
Having a balanced bookshelf.
It’s long been said that “leaders are readers”.
But what do they read, and in what dosage?
I recommend engaging in these three literary domains simultaneously:
1. Business/leadership acumen
2. Personal growth
This week, my balanced bookshelf looks like this:
1. The Science of Dream Teams by Mike Zani
2. The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche
3. A Swim in a Pond in the Rain by George Saunders
What’s on your bookshelf these days?
